Dr. Klimisch told me in late summer of 2015 that I had bone on bone in my right hip and he could help me with a total hip replacement. That terrified me! I had made the mistake of watching a Youtube video of a THR and it really scared me. So, since I wasn't in excruciating pain yet, I thought I could get by without it for a while. By the next spring I was regretting that decision! By that time I was in constant pain that no pill could relieve. Had to walk with a walker/cane at all times and sleeping was an impossible task.
Fast forward to February 27, 2017 when I finally had my THR surgery! OMG! Such a relief! Immediately after surgery I could tell the difference.
As of today, March 24, 2017 I am like a totally new woman. Yes, I still have a couple of weeks of outpatient therapy to do and keep up with the hip precautions before I am completely discharged for 'normal' activity but, I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Pain free and I can sleep so much better now.
I promise you one thing, I will not wait as long if my left hip follows suit. I will get right in there and get it done as soon as Dr. Klimisch recommends it needs surgery.
Thank you so much Dr. Klimisch for giving me a better quality of life.
